Fridge Door Handles
Kristen and I have been looking around for some larger door handles that we liked for the fridge without much luck. Then Kristen found one that she liked online....but they were $400 a piece, yikes! Here is a picture of if.
So I thought that it would not be too hard to replicate them. I purchased a bunch of separate parts from a lamp supplier and ended up making these handles up. Here are all of the pieces.
Here is what they look like put together and placed on top of the doors that are still waiting the last coat of paint.
It all is centered around a central threaded rod. There is still a little bit of work in gluing up and bonding the pieces together.

More Pantry Work
There are a couple of more things that are left to finish up in the pantry. Here are a couple that we finished up over the long weekend.
Shelves were built for the lower portion that had doors before. Holes were provided to allow five different height positions for the shelves.
Here is a picture showing the different positions for the shelves. Metal grommet inserts were used in the holes to dress it up.
Here is a picture of the finished shelves.
Magnetic stops and catches were also added for the two doors.
When the fridge space was made a frame for a false floor was put in place but was never covered over. This is something that we should have done before putting in the cabinets because it took quite a bit elbow grease from both Kristen and I to get the piece in. But, now that it is in we can take kitchen items that are in the hall closet and put them up there.
Here is a picture showing the "floor" framing that is above the fridge (the fridge is the box that you can see on the left in the opening under the floor).Tyler up trying to get it to fit....
