Since we still will have a couple of more weeks before it gets too cold to work outside we have started in on another garden bed that is located between the house and the garage.
We did not have any luck finding the stone that we wanted to make the retaining wall out of for the bed but dug the level trench for the placement of the wall anyway.
When we dug down through the peastone gravel we hit solid clay! So when it started to rain the trench filled in like a little moat.
We are going this afternoon to check on another rock place to see if they have what we are looking for.
