Our garage has been Tyler's workshop for a few years now and has become quite the mess. We bought a dust collection system a while ago and never hooked it up so the floor became covered in sawdust. There were also boxes never unpacked from moving in or from Atlanta 6 years ago.
You can see all the cobwebs! The building is not sealed or insulated in any way.
This scrap wood pile by the door was getting wet and rotting underneath. It was time for it all to go!
You can see that we're in desperate need of some vacuuming.
Looking for a tool? Check under the sawdust somewhere...
Kristen had two weeks vacation and decided to spend a week of it taming this mess and cleaning out unwanted things for a yard sale.
Sweeping filled 6 large trash bags of sawdust...
Things were sorted and a trash pile was made.
Starting to see the floor again.
A new workbench built with room for underneath storage! The dust collection system hooked up! Things are looking much better.
We uncovered hundreds of pieces of pottery we made in Atlanta and put them up for sale $.050 to $5 and sold out by Saturday afternoon. The yard sale was very successful and help clear out lots of unused items.

ReplyDeleteGreat work on the organization and clean-up!! With the dust system hooked up you can both breathe a sigh of relief.

Talk about motivation, Kristen!! And what a transformation - nice work!
ReplyDeleteI wish we lived closer - we would have visited your yard sale and snagged a few of your beautiful bowls! :) We just love the green bowl Tyler made for our wedding gift. It's the perfect fruit bowl!
