Redoing the Kitchen Floor

Now that the downstairs bathroom is nearly done (just waiting for the cabinet) We have started to rip up the floor in the kitchen where there was just plywood. We bought a bunch of old fir flooring that is probably from the same time period as our house to splice into the existing fir floor.

Here is a picture showing all of the flooring lined up on the kitchen floor.

Here is a long string of pictures showing the slow progress of cutting back some of the existing flooring and plywood and putting the new (old) flooring down. 

Should be able to finish laying it down this weekend on the other side so that we can sand it up to see how well the old matches the new (fingers crossed).
